A brand new bracelet and its cash for gold value

Luck has never been a friend of mine... Compared to my friends, we may say that I am a terribly unlucky person. I never find anything on the pavement, the teachers never make mistakes to make my notes better than I deserve... Sometimes my peers laugh at me because if somebody had to be hit by a brick in a wooden church it would definitely be me! You can imagine my astonishment when I came across a beautiful necklace one day on my way home from school. It was a sunny afternoon and the rays of sun got reflected by the golden surface of the jewelry item in a way that blinded me for a moment. The shine was awesome. I picket the bracelet up and ran home watching out for everything that surrounded me. This smile of luck in my direction could have been just a single event that could soon get eclipsed by something stupid, like breaking my leg and dropping the bracelet somewhere. But eventually it ended up home, with my mum and me trying to get to know the cash for gold value of the finding. Mum urged me to convert it on cash for gold basis as soon as possible. But I did not like the idea of taking cash for gold, and actually cash for luck in this case. That was the first time I got so lucky and got something for free. Why should I get rid of that now?
