Rack accessories
Yesterday I read in our local newspaper that rack accessories manufacturers from our local factory in Glasgow went on strike last Tuesday. That totally paralyzed the production process. The employees demanded higher remuneration and shortening their working hours. The newspaper says that rack accessories manufacturers came to work on that day and they all refused to start their work. There were about seventy two rack accessories manufacturers who made that decision to go on strike. Immediately the Board members came to the factory and also the representative of trade unions. The rack accessories manufacturers from our local factory were angry and accused the authorities of the factory of exploitation of their work force. Of course everyone in the company was in a great shock because this was absolutely unexpected by anyone. The authorities of the factory promised to start negotiations concerning the requirements the rack accessories manufacturers had and presented during the meeting. As it was written in the newspaper, the meeting with the trade unions is scheduled for next Friday and then we will see in which direction it is going to go.
